Rockville, MD - March 17, 2023 - The U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has selected FedPoint, a joint venture between Turning Point Global Solutions, L.L.C. and DSFederal, Inc., to modernize the Central Distributor Ordering and Records System (CDORS) for its Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) databases. AHRQ's HCUP is the nation's most comprehensive source of information about hospital care, dating back to 1988, including information on inpatient stays, ambulatory surgery and services visits, emergency department visits, and all-payer encounter-level information. HCUP databases enable researchers, insurers, policymakers and others to study health care cost and delivery, medical practice patterns and patient treatment outcomes over time, and at the national, regional, state, and community levels.

FedPoint will modernize and operate the secure, online CDORS, a content management system that enables researchers to purchase HCUP datasets for research purposes. As the CDORS contractor, FedPoint will play a critical role not just in updating and modernizing the legacy system, but also in securely disseminating these rich public health datasets to help advance public health research.

FedPoint's CDORS contract is a 54-month task order under the CMS SPARC small business contract vehicle with a total value of $5.6M if all options are exercised.
