CMS contracted with TurningPoint to enhance the information available for public reporting on the Physicians and Other Healthcare Professionals Directory (PHPD) located on the CMS Medicare.gov website.

Under this contract, TurningPoint will cleanse, correct, and augment PHPD information through verification of data against Provider Enrollment Chain Ownership System (PECOS) and other highly reliable 3rd-party data sources. TurningPoint will leverage its extensive understanding of Federal, HHS, and CMS guidelines, health information technology, data enhancement, cleansing and data warehousing technologies while performing under this contract. National Government Services (NGS) is serving as a subcontractor to TurningPoint on this engagement.
