The SeaPort-e contract and electronic platform provides the Navy with an efficient and standardized mechanism for issuing competitive solicitations among a large and diverse community of approved contractors, as well as, a platform for awarding and managing performance-based task orders.

The contract has 22 functional areas, including research and development, engineering support, test and evaluation, training and acquisition logistics support. The Government estimates a maximum of $5.3 billion in task orders will be procured per year via orders issued under the SeaPort-e multiple award contracts. The awards have a three-year base period with one five-year award term.
