The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) strives for high quality service to our nation's veterans. Approximately 70 million people (or about a quarter of the nation's population) are potentially eligible for VA benefits. Efficient and effective communication must play a vital role in delivering service to a beneficiary base this large. The Challenge: The VA recognized that in order to fully capitalize on the cost savings of procuring telecom services from multiple vendors, they needed an order management system with the ability to track inventory of telecom services and enable them to efficiently process service orders. The Solution: TurningPoint expert telecom personnel, supercharged with NiOS, an industry-proven TurningPoint-built, FISMA-complaint application, delivered an enterprise level ability to manage VA's telecommunications infrastructure from initial service order requisition process handling to service order fulfillment, as well as billing validation and reconciliation per Federal requirements and processes.
