NIOS® Product Spotlight

TurningPoint developed the Network Inventory and Optimization Solution (NiOS®), a comprehensive software solution that facilitates enterprise-wide visibility to proactively manage and optimize network and telecom assets.

NiOS® enables Agencies to:

  • Provision all services across all contracts and all suppliers
  • Reconcile and verify telecom bills for wired, wireless, and network & telecommunications equipment assets
  • Identify unneeded wireless devices and wired services
  • Optimize wireless rate plans and wired network services
  • Identify the most favorable contract to use for each service order
  • Recover overpayments due to erroneous bills
  • Reduce headcount by automating telecom management

NiOS® helps to eliminate unneeded telecom expenses, simplify continuity of operations (COOP) planning, and facilitate compliance with OMB Circular A-123. The feedback loop in our process enables continuous improvement.

NIOS Functional Architecture

NiOS® Customers save as much as 25% on total telecom expenditures and experience a positive return on investment that can be applied to other mission priorities.

In addition to enabling Telecommunications Lifecycle Management (TLM) as described above, NiOS® powers TurningPoint’s Mobile Efficiency Center™ (MEC) solution to manage, backup, configure, monitor and secure all Agency-wide mobile devices across all mobile operating systems. MEC integrates TLM, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and Mobile Application Store (MAS) systems into a single holistic solution.

The following Federal and Defense clients have extracted cost savings from their infrastructure by leveraging NiOS®:

  • Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
  • Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Headquarters
  • Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
  • Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
  • U.S. Army (USA)
  • U.S. Air Force (USAF)
